Your manuscript stays yours.

Authors trust us with their unpublished work. We take that seriously. Here's exactly how ProBookOS handles your manuscript and data — in plain English.

The big promise: your book is never used to train AI.

Unlike consumer chatbots (where your inputs may be used to train future models unless you manually opt out), ProBookOS uses the OpenAI API under a strict no-training policy. OpenAI's official policy states: "We do not train our models on inputs and outputs through our API." Your manuscript will never appear in someone else's generated content. Full stop.

What we collect

  • Your manuscript file (PDF, DOCX, or TXT), uploaded by you, stored privately in your workspace.
  • Optional author/press form uploaded for Step 9 personalization.
  • The generated outputs from each step (summary, descriptions, keywords, etc.).
  • Account info (email + any account name you provide) once accounts are introduced.
  • Basic technical logs (timestamps, error reports) — never the content of your book.

Where it lives

  • In a private database accessible only to you and the ProBookLaunch team. Other authors using ProBookOS cannot see your work.
  • Sent securely (HTTPS encryption) between your browser and our servers.
  • Stored for as long as your account is active. You can delete any chat at any time, and deletion is permanent.
  • You can request full account + data deletion at any time by emailing us.

What we will never do

  • Train AI models on your manuscript. Not us, not OpenAI, not anyone.
  • Sell your data to advertisers, list brokers, or third parties.
  • Share your manuscript or outputs with other ProBookOS users.
  • Read your manuscript ourselves unless you specifically ask for support help and grant access.

Third parties we use

  • OpenAI API — to generate the deliverables. Bound by their API data policy (no training, 30-day max abuse-monitoring retention by OpenAI).
  • ThriveCart — payment processing (once paid plans launch). Your card info goes to ThriveCart, never touches our servers.
  • MongoDB Atlas / hosting provider — encrypted database hosting.
